Tea polyphenols is a general name for tea polyphenols extractive from tea.As an natural antioxidant playing an important role in a variety of human diseases,tea polyphenols has a long history of medicinal.According to Chinese documented medicine classics,there are more than 20 kinds of medicinal effects which are efficient with no side effects.Many Clinical researches of tea polyphenol are about its medicinal effects,such as anti-cancer,anti-radiation,anti-bacteria,brainhealthy and anti-cardiovascular disease.This article summarized the medicinal effects of tea polyphenols,by reference from the literatures,and may offer the theoretical foundation for the use of tea polyphenols to make medicinal products in future.
